Q & A:
1. What inspired you to become a men's hair specialist?
When I began to focus on cutting techniques rather than chemical services after moving to Austin in 2010, I discovered a need for stylist who specialize in men's styles. I listened to the men express the same general complaints of receiving inconsistent haircuts that they weren't satisfied with and not knowing how to complete their style. I began giving more thorough consultations and asking more open-ended questions. From there, my inspirations stemmed from simply listening to what the male clients needed.
2. So, you are from Jonesboro - what made you move to Austin? Are you happy to be back home?
I actually grew up in a small farm community just east of town called Lundsford, but I call Jonesboro home. Honestly, I came across an opportunity to move off to the city, so I jumped on it. I'm so glad that I did too! I learned so many new things and met some very wonderful people along the way! As much as I miss the city life, I'm so grateful to be closer to my family. They are my biggest fans!
3. What is your favorite part about cutting hair?
Not only do I enjoy being able to use my artistic talent and skill set to make gentleman look and feel better about themselves, I also enjoy educating my clients on proper hair care and maintenance. I love the satisfied smiles after the experience, knowing they can go home with the knowledge and product to achieve the same look.
4. If you could tell all your client's one must do for their hair, what would it be?
Gentlemen tend to be a little on the shy side when it comes to communicating about their hair. Talk to your stylist about your hair concerns and issues. We are trained professionals who know what is best for your specific hair needs.
5. What is your favorite hair style?
As you can see from most of my work, I absolutely love the "Classic Side-Part" It's a style for all ages, it's simple, clean, and it will never go out of style.
6. Where are you located and how can people get in touch with you to make an appointment?
